Déchirer XL, designed by Patricia Urquiola, reimagines Mutina’s iconic Déchirer collection in a dramatic 100×300 cm slab format. This expansion allows the collection’s signature bas-relief motifs to unfold across continuous large surfaces, creating walls with quiet depth, refined texture, and a modern architectural presence.
Crafted from unglazed homogeneous porcelain stoneware (UGL) and reinforced with a back glass-fiber layer, Déchirer XL achieves remarkable thinness at just 3 mm, making it exceptionally lightweight (approx. 25 kg per slab) yet highly durable. The latest-generation production technology ensures that even at this scale, the relief patterns remain crisp and perfectly defined, preserving Urquiola’s original artistic expression.
Available in two elegant shades — Gesso and Grafite — Déchirer XL suits both indoor and outdoor wall applications, from minimal architectural environments to expressive feature surfaces in hospitality, commercial, and residential projects. Its seamless, rectified edges allow for precise installations with minimal joints, enhancing the purity of the design.
