Time, designed by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby for Mutina, is a study in material precision and tactile contrast. Produced as an industrial unglazed porcelain stoneware, the collection pairs two surface expressions—Smooth and Rough—to emphasize the quiet elegance of colour, texture, and natural ceramic variation. The Rough version features a lightly speckled, mineral-like finish with visible aggregates, while the Smooth variant offers a refined, matte surface with subtle depth.
Available in eight colours inspired by stone, clay, and natural pigments, Time spans warm neutrals to saturated modern hues: Dover White, Etna Black, Dakota Grey, Atlas Brown, Virginia Blue, Highland Green, Salta Red, and Sahara Sand. Each colour comes in both textures, allowing designers to explore tonal layering, contrast, or monochrome installations across a variety of spaces.
The collection is produced in three modular sizes—20.5×20.5 cm, 3.9×20.5 cm, and 3.9×3.9 cm—and is suitable for indoor and outdoor floors and walls. With excellent slip resistance (R10 Smooth / R11 Rough), high durability, and low water absorption, Time is engineered for residential, commercial, and high-traffic environments. Its understated design and material authenticity make it ideal for contemporary architecture, hospitality, and minimal interiors seeking a timeless, tactile surface.
